Toilet Paper Tube Octopus Under The Sea Craft For Kids
Toilet Paper Tube Octopus Under the Sea Craft for Kids
You will need:
Cardboard toilet paper tubes
Paint and brushes
Sequins / glitter / decorations for the legs
Start by painting a cardboard tube, then set aside to dry. I like using a variety of colors and allowing them to blend into each other.
Once the paint is dry, cut 8 legs by snipping one end of the tube and cutting to about the middle of the tube. Work your way around the tube, repeating that cutting style, 8 times.
I found it worked best to make one cut, then make the next cut directly across from the first. If you imagine the bottom of the cardboard tube is a clock, make your first cut at 12 o’clock, the second cut at 6 o’clock. Make the 3rd cut at 3 o’clock followed by 9 o’clock. Now you have 4 sections cut, and you can easily make the next cuts right in the center of each of those 4 sections, giving you 8 legs.
Following that pattern for your cuts will help ensure your legs are all the same size.
Apply Googly eyes with glue, then add embellishments like sequins to the legs if desired.
