Hey, I’m Rebecca. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. I’m a 45 yr old work at home Mom, and a Military wife. My husband retired from active duty service in the Air Force last month and has been home full time with me… which has been absolutely awesome to have his support raising our boys 24/7!
We own two businesses. We have a Shaklee distributorship, and he has just started a company he hasn’t even launched yet called Phoenix Materiale.. Once he launches it, he’ll be selling generators and other equipment for homes and businesses.
We have two little boys, ages 4 and 7, and I would LOVE to have more… but like I said, I’m 45! I was 40 when I had our youngest and both pregnancies, and especially labor and delivery, were really hard on me with the MS. In 2011 I started my business. It was clear that going back to work, and being an effective mother, while battling a chronic disease, would be next to impossible. So I started a home based business and began teaching other Moms and Dads how to work from home. About that same time I got really serious about treating the multiple sclerosis holistically. I was determined to get off all my medication.
By 2012 I no longer needed my cane, and in the fall of 2013 I was able to officially get off all MS medications! I currently manage MS with diet, nutrition, and Shaklee supplements. In the last few months I’ve been able to start exercising again and I’m so excited! I was very passionate about fitness before the MS threw me a curve ball.
As part of physical therapy for a recent shoulder injury I’m also working on increasing my overall fitness and strength. In order to track my progress I make a lot of videos, and post them in the hopes they will inspire others.
I am passionate about health, disease prevention, and teaching people how to detox their homes.
